The Pursuit of Happiness
September 17, 2010

I’ve finally made it! Never been happier before, ironically. I managed to by Swedish snus without ordering it from Sweden. Just the fact that I’ve been without snus for two and a half months is ridiculous! And all now thanks to a friend of mine who told me that it could be bought here in a Scandinavian candy store. Yes, it is happiness, indeed. Even tough it wasn’t the right brand or taste it did feel good to put under my lip and remember the feeling of having one there. But I’m happy to think of that in two days I’ll get like 20 boxes (like small boxes each containing 20 portions of snus).  So I’m super excited! Just to let know.

Xx.

Is it really true?
September 17, 2010

Do we really have a blog now? Who would’ve guessed? Not even me, Linnea, could have imagined that. But it is true… Let’s see how long me and Caroline can keep up with this. But we’ll do our best.

So, maybe a short introduction would be good now. Behind the computer right now is me, Linnea aka Nema. Right next to me watching Dexter is Caroline aka Cat. What is supposed to be so interesting about this blog is that both of us just recently moved to the fantastic island of MALTA! We’re doing this for our friends and family so they can keep up with our life and adventures here, but also for everyone else that might be interested. I might tell you in advance that crazy pictures and storys might be published on this site, because that is what our life here mainly contains of.

For you who don’t know, Malta is an small island with 400.000 people and 350.000 small annoying cars. Yes, it’s pretty crowded on the streets, and they drive like assholes. Malta is also 30 minutes with flight from Sicily, so the island is just under Italy. Me and Cat lives in a town called St Julians, or San Giljan in Maltese, named after one of the many saints they believe in (they’re Catholics here). What we like about living here is that it is only 5 minutes from my sister Maja’s place and 10 minutes from Paceville, where all the clubs are at and where the alcohol is crazy cheep! Noted: yes, we aswell feel sorry for our livers. But we only live once, which has become our motto.

Today, 2,5 months later since the moving here (for me) and  1,5 months for Cat we are living the good life. When we’re not searching good full time jobs at betting companies, partying, shopping and spending our money we’re working as waitresses at a restaurant by the sea to make money and get some sort of income. Or at least I did until 3 days ago.         It turned out that the staff (correction: maltese staff) are jurkes and treats you like shit, so one day I just had enough. Caroline hates it aswell but we couldn’t stop at the same day. What is good tough is that the other waitresses that aren’t Maltese are very nice and that will keep you going on with a fake smile on your face instead of tears running down. Yes, that actually happened to me. Twice! Lucky me then that I have a job interview next week, so cross your fingers people. Because I’m gonna get it!

Okay, I can see now that our first post was quite alot to read. So I just let you to it, and instead post some pictures. But atleast you know some of the stuff here.

More to come!! Xxx. Cat and Nema.
